Passport and ID photos
Selfie in. Passport photo out.
TrueIDPhoto turns a selfie into a photo for your passport, ID card or visa: a plain white or light grey background, even studio light, and your face exactly as it is. Ready in about 30 seconds.

Before and after
Your face. The official look.
Only the photo conditions change: the background becomes plain, the light even, the focus sharp. Your features, face shape, eye colour, skin tone, hair, age and expression are meant to stay exactly as they are. No beautifying, no slimming.
The photo is made with AI from your selfie, so check that it looks like you before you use it. You crop it to your document's size; the authority decides whether it is accepted.

How it works
Three steps, one selfie
-
Choose the background
White for most passports and ID cards; light grey where your document asks for it, such as UK and German passports or a Schengen visa.
-
Take a selfie
Or pick a photo from your gallery. Look straight into the camera with your whole head and shoulders in view, and skip sunglasses, caps and filters.
-
Save your photo
About 30 seconds later the studio photo is ready. Save or share it, crop it to your document’s size, and check that it looks like you.
Privacy
Private by design
An ID photo is personal. TrueIDPhoto keeps as little of it as it can.
-
Your selfie is never stored
It is processed in memory and sent to Google's Gemini API to create your ID photo. Our server never saves it.
-
Photos delete themselves
Generated photos are removed after 30 days, or sooner when you delete them in the app.
-
No ads, no tracking
The app has no advertising or tracking tools and we don't sell your data. This site sets no cookies.
-
Leave whenever you want
Delete your account in the app and your photos and history go with it. Purchase records stay, as Dutch tax law requires.
Pricing
Credits, not a subscription
One credit, one photo
If a photo fails, the credit comes back automatically.
Pay as you go
Credit packs are bought in the app through Google Play, which shows the price before you buy. Nothing renews.
Questions
Before you try it
Is it still a photo of me?
It is made with AI from your selfie. It is built to change only the background, light and sharpness and to keep your face exactly as it is, but check that it looks like you before you use it: an ID photo must be an accurate likeness.
What makes a good selfie?
Look straight into the camera with your whole head and your shoulders in view, use even light without harsh shadows, and skip sunglasses, caps and filters. Take off glasses that reflect.
Will my passport office accept it?
The issuing authority decides, and we cannot guarantee it. The photo comes as a 3:4 head-and-shoulders portrait; crop or print it to the size your document requires, and check that document's own rules (for example whether glasses are allowed).
Can I make a photo of my child?
Yes. As a parent or legal guardian you may take and upload a photo of your child; the same privacy rules apply to it.
What happens to my photos?
Your selfie is processed and never stored. Generated photos are deleted after 30 days, or sooner when you delete them. The details are in the privacy policy.
